With the HumanaChoice PPO plan, you may visit any Medicare-approved doctor or other health care provider who accepts the plan’s terms, whether they are part of the Humana network or not.
This means that when you travel within the United States, you may still be able to receive coverage for qualified care, as long as you visit a Medicare-approved doctor who accepts Humana’s plan terms.
You will typically pay lower out-of-pocket costs, however, when you visit a health care provider within Humana’s network of providers.

HumanaChoice PPO plans include all the same benefits of Original Medicare and may offer even more, such as:
- Emergency medical coverage you can use when you travel internationally
- Coverage of prescription drugs on most plans
- Routine dental, vision and hearing coverage on all Humana Medicare Advantage plans
